Travel as a Lifestyle
Live and/or Work Abroad
Make Travel a Lifestyle
Travel as a lifestyle incorporates more than just living abroad, it’s about creating your life in a way that allows for the opportunity to travel slow. The secret sauce is in learning to build a life while traveling that mirrors your current life at home; building in routines, finding a gym, a hairstylist, an eyelash lady(essential for myself), a massage person and anything else that helps you feel “normal.” Often, the “normal” things you do at home will actually be cheaper while traveling, and it’s possible to build a more cost-effective life while abroad.
Living abroad is one of the most enriching experiences you can have, offering opportunities for personal growth, adventure, and discovery. But knowing where to start, how to adapt, and how to navigate all the logistics can be overwhelming. A few of the things we will cover in this program:
1. Set your life up to be able to be gone for several months to several years, working through renting out your current home, putting things in storage, finding a place to leave your car, figuring out mail, and all of the other things that need to be managed.
2. Choose the perfect destination(s) that align with your goals, whether it’s an exciting city, a peaceful countryside, or a vibrant coastal town. Maybe, it’s multiple destinations to experience them all!
3. Navigate visa and legal requirements for long-term stays, making sure you have all the necessary documentation and understand the rules of living in a foreign country.
4. Logistics like finding longer term rentals, figuring out health insurance, international phone plans, finding a gym and other everyday routine items.
5. Adapt to a new culture with ease, helping you feel confident and comfortable as you immerse yourself in local customs, language, and daily life.
6. Find your new community by connecting with locals and other expats, so you never feel alone as you settle into your new home.
7. Create a balanced and fulfilling life abroad, ensuring you thrive personally, professionally, and socially as you build a life in a new country.
